Yesterday we finally made it home after a month long, extreme vacation! It was so indescribably awesome to see all our family and friends while simultaneously doing some super fun stuff. The 80+ hours we spent in the car were slightly less exhilarating but all in all the good parts outweighed the numb bums and groggy heads.
Leg #1: Heading West; Nashville to Topeka to Logan.
| Just leaving Nashville. Be warned, there are a lot of scenery pictures. Gotta do something for entertainment while Brig drives. |
| After the 10 hour drive to Topeka we spent the night at Keesa and Trevor's. The following day they took us to an awesome lego exhibit at Trevor's school. |
| After waiting around for a while to see if Keesa would have her baby we gave up and took off for Logan around 1 am. Just so you know, there's nothing in western Nebraska or Kansas. |
| 15 hours later we make it to Bear Lake! And yay for mountains! |
We spent the next week and a half bouncing between Logan and Kaysville. We got to spend some time with Scott and Korryn and there cute kids and got to see a lot of the Cook clan at a family BBQ. My little brother got home from his mission and we spent a few days celebrating up at Bear Lake.
| Playing with our cousins and their pets. |
| Making the welcome home Elder VandeMerwe sign. |
| Bar Lake |
| Brig flying his kite in the lake. |
| My best friend ever and our favorite childhood game. Girls night all the way. |
During the second half of our trip Brig was the primary photographer so those will be posted soon!
