The Big 3-0 Birthday

That's right. Brig is now 30 years (and one month) old! A big mile marking year for him. Personally, I like it, makes me feel like I'm married to a real man now. He's always been manly but now that He's out of his 20's it's a whole new level of manly. He's much more mature and wise and experienced. Or maybe that's just from two years of being married to me. It's hard to tell. Either way, neither being an old married man or turning 30 have decreased his love of playing with toys. Consequently his bday loot this year included nerf guns, remote control helicopters, and a new card game. His main gift was a new desk chair but that wasn't too exciting because, for one it's not a toy, and two, because he got it a week early so he could study for finals. We celebrated the actual day of birth with food, friends, and games.

Funny story about the helicopters: buying gifts for Brig is extremely hard. He's picky because he knows what he likes and let me tell you, the man does his research before he buys things, especially electronics. I knew he wanted a remote control helicopter, he had talked about it way before Christmas. Of course, I knew nothing about toy helicopters. A good six weeks before his birthday I started reading about them and pricing them online. Trevor and Keesa have one so they helped me narrow down my list. I finally picked one out and it got here a week before the big day. The day before his birthday Brig tells me he bought himself a gift. Sure enough, it was the exact same helicopter, just a different color! It arrived a few days later. At least it was affirmation that I picked a good one. Luckily Brigham doesn't mind having two.
So, 30 years down, hopefully another 70 to go! We're looking forward to what the next 30 years will bring!
