Home Sweet Home, Again.

Well we're back in Nashville and after over a month of "settling in" it's starting to feel like home again. We spent our first few days here sleeping in motels and looking for a new apartment but eventually we ended up back at the complex we were in last year. It's been great moving back into the same ward and already being familiar with the area. Brig is already knee deep in school and working hard. His rotation this semester is at a grocery store pharmacy where Ben Folds and some other famousy people fill their prescriptions. He is also officially certified to give immunizations now. We're hoping later this season he will give Ben the best flu shot he's ever received and it will lead to some free concert tickets. Who knows. While Brig is hard at work studying and going to class, lab, and rotation, I have been busy sitting at home being a "homemaker" with no kids or home to really "make" for. It's been nice to have time to unpack and get the apartment organized as well as to read, cook, look for nursery ideas, run, and fun stuff like that. I do miss not being in school and not having a schedule though. I found two jobs when we first got here but unfortunately neither of them start until next week or the week after. I will be substitute teaching for the Metro school district here and tutoring with a government program for underprivileged kids. As much as I love spending my days wondering around Kroger and Bed Bath and Beyond, I'm excited to get working. Especially now that our apartment is FINALLY put together.
These are the "Before" pictures. I actually took them after we'd been working on the mess for two or three days, it was originally much, much worse but my camera was buried in the wreckage.:)
We put our bed up on cinder blocks so that we could fit the twin bed underneath it. The top of the bed now stands just a little above my waist. That means it's super high, I have really, really long legs. It's so high that when Brig is laying in bed he can reach up and touch the ceiling. It's like sleeping on a cloud.:)
"After" pictures. We have a home! Yay!

You're always welcome to come play homemaker at my house ;) Or just come sit and be bored with us. I spent a good portion of last week rearranging here as well. I was sick of looking at the desk (more like sick of having to clean it..haha) We'll have to have you over again soon.
