Bryan had Brigham's name for Christmas this year and he wisely chose to get Brig his own Settler's of Catan game. Complete with the expansion pack and special dice, Brig was pretty much more excited about having it in Nashville than he was about having me in Nashville.;) Other than movies it's our only entertainment on these cold wintery nights and we play it all the time. Brig is an old pro at the game but while his expertise remains stagnant I'm sorry to say I keep getting better at it. I win about 90% of the time. He pretends to hate it but I know deep down inside he's proud to have married such a nerdy Settler's pro.
Last night we were invited to dinner at the home of one of Brig's pharmacy school friends, Jeremy. Jeremy has a cute wife, who cooked an amazing meal, (for which I'm sure Brig was especially grateful, I'm learning but the progress is slow) and two adorable little boys. One of their other friends also joined us. It was fun for me to meet some new people and they were so much fun. Jeremy suggested we bring a game and so naturally, we brought the only one we have. We played after dinner and had a great time! The game has a lot of rules and things to remember but everyone picked right up on it and totally kicked Brig and I both out of the running for champion. We had a blast. It's been fun finally getting to know people and settling in to Nashville. There are gonna be some good times ahead! (oh and thanks again Bryan.:) )
