Earlier this week as we were driving home from school, Brig got a craving for a doughnut, and not just any doughnut, a Krispy Kreme doughnut. We looked up the nearest store and set off for a spontaneous junk food run. My favorite! Even more my favorite now that I'm married, not because I just love doing anything with my husband and all that mooshy stuff, but also because he has a very different idea of what a doughnut run is than what I had. To me it meant; go to the store, pick a doughnut or two, and satisfy your craving in the car on the way home. To Brig it means; go to the store, pick out two dozen doughnuts, and snack on them continuously throughout the week. Now that is a doughnut run. When we first got back into the car with two heaping boxes I was thinking, yeah right, like I'm going to eat 12 doughnuts before they dry out, Brig is going to be the man and end up eating all of them. That was before the snow days. The next two days the elementary schools were closed because of snow and I was home. Alone. All day. Just me and 24 tasty grease balls. They didn't last long. It's probably a good thing I didn't know there was a Krispy Kreme by the hospital or I wouldn't have let people come to visit me when I had ben without bring me some!
...There is one right around the corner from my house though...literally.
